What Verbatext holds about channels

Public channel and video data from the YouTube Data API: titles, descriptions, counters and thumbnails (hot-linked, not stored). API data is refreshed or deleted within 30 days, as YouTube's terms require. Facts we derive from that data — content type, how often a channel features other people, topic tags, scores — are ours and are kept.

Contact details come only from public sources: a channel's own description or its linked website. We never solve captchas, scrape private pages, or buy lists. A creator can ask for their channel's contact route to be removed at any time.

We never store video transcripts or raw comment text, and we never estimate viewer demographics.

What Verbatext holds about you

Today the directory needs no account. Searches you run stay in your browser's address bar; we keep standard server logs for a short period to run the service. Starred channels live only in your browser session until accounts and lists ship.
