Welcome to Art History School. I'm Paul Priestley, former art teacher and lifelong art educator. On this channel, you'll discover the lives, ideas, struggles, and masterpieces of many legendary painters. Whether you're new to art history or a lifelong enthusiast, you'll find engaging and accessible insights that bring artists and their work to life. No complicated jargon. No pretentious "artspeak." Just fascinating stories, clear explanations, and a deeper understanding of the people behind the paintings. Every video is researched, written, filmed, and edited by me in my own studio. I do not use AI-generated, narration, images, or video content. Creating each film is a hands-on process that allows me to produce thoughtful, carefully crafted videos that are both informative and enjoyable to watch. If you'd like to explore the rich and colourful world of art through the lives and works of great artists, subscribe and join me at Art History School.
