Topics americana, folk rock, alternative rock, songwriting, music

Zoey Tess is an American singer-songwriter, pianist and producer blending Americana, folk rock and alternative rock with socially conscious songwriting. Influenced by Fiona Apple, Ani DiFranco, Joni Mitchell, Townes Van Zandt and Bob Dylan, Zoey Tess creates piano-driven music that blends Americana, folk rock and alternative rock with confessional and socially conscious songwriting. Her work moves between intimate storytelling, protest-song traditions and the emotional intensity of ’90s alternative music. Her debut album, There’s Gonna Be a Reckoning, was released in 2026 and recorded at Clubhouse Studio in Rhinebeck, New York, with collaborators including Mario J. McNulty, Chris Gehringer, Dave Eggar and Paul Antonell. Tess followed the album with The Fault Line Sessions (Live from Clubhouse Studio), featuring live performances built around piano, voice and string quartet.
