Empowering People. Saving Wildlife. Looking for your next wild adventure? You’ll find it here — deep in the Appalachian hills of southeastern Ohio. At The Wilds, endangered species roam across nearly 10,000 acres of reclaimed mine land, and guests are invited to explore it all. Take a safari through open pastures, zipline above rhinos and giraffes, ride horseback across wide-open terrain, or stay overnight in a private yurt or at the Hellbender RV Campground. But The Wilds is more than a destination — it’s a nonprofit conservation center where science, sustainability, and stewardship come together to protect wildlife and restore habitats. Whether you're here to experience the thrill or support the mission, you're part of something truly extraordinary.
