Topics glamrock, newwave, musical, artpop, theatre

Theophobia is a 6-piece theatrical glam rock/new wave band from Brooklyn, NY. Their members include singer Dylan Mars Greeberg, singer and guitarist Matt Ellin, keyboardist Michael Butterly, bassist Nick Cereola and drummer Chris Michaels. Childhood friends Greenberg and Ellin formed Theophobia, an art pop duo named for the pair's shared existential neuroses. Trading off singing and songwriting duties, their quirky catchy tunes and ecstatic performances marry the theatrical glam rock of the 70s, the shimmering new wave of the 80s and the performance art-infused comedy of Andy Kaufman. As silly as they are sincere, as nerdy as they are cool and as niche as they are pop, Theophobia have made a name for themselves in New York's music scene by being unabashedly weird and fun.
