Marcel Jacob began his musical career with YNGWIE MALMSTEEN and FORCE, later to become EUROPE. Together with Yngwie Malmsteen Marcel recorded "Marching Out" and joined two world tours from 1984–85. In 1986, he returned to Sweden and joined former Europe guitarist John Norum, co-writing songs for Norum's debut album "Total Control". After the album and tour, Marcel began writing for a follow-up, but John chose another direction. Marcel then decided to record the songs himself. He contacted Jeff Scott Soto, his former bandmate from Yngwie's band, to sing on the project TALISMAN and the first single "I'll Be Waiting" rocketed through the charts. Talisman went on to tour and record seven studio albums and several live releases. Marcel Jacob passed away on July 21, 2009, far too early. He was an exceptional musician, songwriter and extraordinarily talented bass player. Talisman is managed by Sun Hill Production. ([email hidden])
