Hi, I'm Matteo Zandonella Bolco, the human behind Sunset Surrender! My music blends 80s-inspired Synth-pop, New Wave, Post-punk, Dream Pop, and Surf Rock into something uniquely my own. It reflects my journey—moving across the globe, searching for belonging, and finding peace in the notes that connect us all. Each track is a piece of that journey, where upbeat rhythms meet deeper, introspective themes. I believe music can comfort and connect us, especially in tough times. That’s why I pour my struggles and hopes into every song, hoping it resonates with someone else's story. Inspired by many artists, my sound is shaped by “Natsukashii”—a Japanese term for a bittersweet nostalgia for a past that never existed. I strive to capture that feeling with Sunset Surrender—not just music, but a shared emotional experience. In the end, Sunset Surrender is about creating a sense of home, where you can feel seen, understood, and never alone. I hope my music can be that space for you.
