Hi, I’m Seth. I’m an American living in Berlin, exploring the city and Germany through history, travel, food, and the stories hidden in the places around us. On this channel, I follow old guidebooks through modern Berlin, track down what remains of East and West Berlin, explore the city of the Weimar Republic, Nazi Germany, Imperial Berlin, and the Cold War, and use books, photographs, maps, music, and forgotten places to see how Berlin has changed. You’ll also find day trips around Germany, local food, unusual places, and the occasional journey farther afield. If you like history you can actually walk through—and want to see Berlin beyond the usual tourist sights—subscribe and come explore with me.
