Peculiar is a Portuguese alternative pop artist and songwriter, recognised with several awards and known for blending Portuguese tradition with contemporary influences. Now, he begins a new artistic chapter with “Azeitona”, the first single from his highly anticipated debut album *Os Camelos Também Sabem Nadar*. Originally from the Algarve, the artist returns to his roots to create a sonic universe inspired by the region where he grew up, blending pop with elements of Algarvian music, North African Arabic sounds and Latin rhythms. Through the warmth, summer atmosphere and sensory landscapes of southern Portugal, Peculiar also aims to position the Algarve as a vibrant and contemporary cultural territory, bringing its influences, memories and identity into the centre of Portuguese pop music.
