What Our History Underfoot makes

Topics history, exploration, abandoned, railway, canals

Our History Underfoot explores forgotten places, old railways, canals, and historic infrastructure through walking and outdoor exploration. These videos focus on the history we still walk over every day — often hidden in plain sight beneath our feet. From abandoned railway lines and lost stations to reservoirs, bridges, and industrial remains, each walk uncovers how the past continues to shape the landscapes around us. This channel was previously known as Trekking Exploration. The name has changed to better reflect the shared history, slower pace, and place-based storytelling that now defines the channel. New videos document Britain’s overlooked and disappearing past — one walk at a time. #abandoned #railway #tunnels #hiking #trekking #exploration #canals #history
