MIT Professional Education was established in 2002 and builds on decades of outreach to science and engineering professionals. Participants are taught by renowned professors and challenged with real-world scenarios on topics like Crisis Management, Data Modeling and Analysis, Enterprise Transformation, and more. MIT Professional Education programs include the Advanced Study Program, Short Courses Program, and Custom Programs. With the Advanced Study Program at MIT, participants take a 16 week semester of classes on the MIT campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Professionals interested in Short Programs participate in classes lasting two to five days. To target specific problems within an organization, companies often look to the Custom Programs to design a needs-based learning experience. The MIT Advanced Study Program is represented by over 500 organizations in over 75 countries. The program also has global appeal, with about 35% of fellows attending from abroad.
