Mississippi State University ignites Mississippi's economic engine. Throughout our history, MSU has served to grow and sophisticate Mississippi’s economy while building stronger, more diverse and more vibrant communities. Our DNA as an institution is found in the university motto – learning, research, and service. As Mississippi’s leading research university, we empower and energize the state’s promising future. Our students, faculty and staff take pride in that shared responsibility to pay that motto forward.
