What Michi makes

Topics indie, music, folk, guitar, acoustic

Michi picked up her first guitar at three and never put it down. By twelve, she was writing breakup songs about boyfriends she'd never had. By twenty, she won the Gay Pride Battle of the Bands and was headlining festivals. Born in Virginia and based in Madrid, Michi has spent nine consecutive years performing on the main stage of Capital Pride in Washington, D.C., sharing lineups with Miley Cyrus, Troye Sivan, Carly Rae Jepsen, Zara Larsson, and Kelly Rowland. Her single "Roses" surpassed 100,000 streams and appeared in the final film project of actress Itziar Castro. Her music lives somewhere between heartbreak and humor: indie folk songs about love, loss, identity, bad decisions, and the strange things we do in the name of all three. Her sister once accused her of becoming "Gaylor Swift." Michi agreed. Subscribe for music, videos, acoustic performances, and occasional proof that healing can be funny. Second album *Short Story* arrives Spring 2027.
