Topics music, lgbtq+, songwriting, classical, dance pop

Julia Zelg is a London-based singer-songwriter and classically trained vocalist with a master’s degree in songwriting and a classical singing degree from Goldsmiths, University of London. After building a loyal global fanbase and over 16 million views on YouTube with her emotionally raw alternative music, Julia has entered a new era, redefining her sound through a bold fusion of dance pop, orchestral instrumentation, and her powerful classical voice. Her music pairs cinematic strings and operatic vocal elements with a rococo-inspired, pink, and whimsical visual world, creating a striking contrast between classical tradition and playful, contemporary pop expression. As an openly bisexual artist and immigrant from Brazil, she draws from her life experience to explore themes of LGBTQ+ rights, immigrant identity, women’s empowerment, and personal freedom, emerging as a distinctive voice at the intersection of classical technique and modern pop.
