What John Grant makes

Topics music, singer-songwriter, artistry, collaboration, solo-albums

If an artist was judged by their collaborators alone, then the likes of Sinead O’Connor, Elton John, Elbow, CMAT, Linda Thompson, Hercules And Love Affair, Tracey Thorn and Midlake are proof of Grant’s place at the top table. Many years after The Czars had disbanded he bounced back, to sobriety and has six outstanding solo albums to date, starting with 2010’s Queen Of Denmark (MOJO magazine’s album of the year) and 2013’s Pale Green Ghosts – which helped earn him Attitude Magazine’s Man of the Year award in 2013, and a Best International Male Solo Artist nomination at the 2014 BRITS, alongside Eminem, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Drake.
