Most people enter the beauty industry without knowing what they're actually signing up for. This channel exists to change that. I'm James Ervin — stylist, salon owner, licensed cosmetology teacher, former campus director, distributor education manager, and business coach. I've worked every side of this industry. That's what makes this different. On this channel: • Cosmetology school vs apprenticeship — honest breakdowns • Technical haircutting and color education • What the first years as a hairstylist actually look like • Industry truths nobody explains before enrollment • Career advice for new and aspiring hairstylists This isn't hype. This is real-world beauty industry education from someone who's lived it. I'm building Before The Chair — a program for aspiring hairstylists who want clarity before committing to school, apprenticeship, or a career change. ⬇️ Join Before The Chair https://beacons.ai/jameservinhair New videos every week.
