What Institute of Noetic Sciences makes

Topics consciousness, meditation, science, human potential, noetic sciences

The Institute of Noetic Sciences explores the intersection of science and profound human experience. As a nonprofit dedicated to scientific research and education, IONS fosters personal and collective transformation. “Noetic” comes from the Greek word nous, which means “intuitive mind” or “inner knowing.” Noetic sciences reveal a deeper understanding of our inner worlds and the interconnection between all things. Science has profoundly changed the way we view reality, but there is so much more waiting to be discovered. IONS uses scientific exploration and personal discovery to push beyond the current limits of human knowledge. IONS conducts leading-edge research on consciousness, exploring phenomena that do not necessarily fit conventional scientific models while maintaining a commitment to scientific rigor.
