Compared to "a good champagne: simultaneously effervescent & restrained" by the Sydney Morning Herald, Hetty's distinctive approach balances her respect for the lyric with spontaneity and wit. Nurtured in Melbourne's vibrant scene, Hetty's journey has since spanned 28 countries, with performances at major festivals and a significant tenure as the vocalist in Australian Jazz Icon James Morrison's touring bands, including his award-winning symphonic concert "The A to Z of Jazz." Praised as "one of the best swing-style singers on the current scene" (Will Friedwald, USA), Hetty's performances showcase her "precise, on-point phrasing" (Alain Thomas, Couleurs Jazz FR). Her current project "Jazz in Four Seasons" is a four-album series recorded in four different cities around the world. Each volume is shaped by the season and the place, with local musicians bringing their own voice to the music. Volume 1, Spring, recorded in Prague with Czech musicians, is out now.
