At Filoli, we connect people with nature, beauty, and one another through experiences that inspire wonder, reflection, and joy. Nestled in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains in Woodside, California, Filoli is a historic estate where vibrant gardens, rich stories, and diverse landscapes invite exploration year-round. Originally built between 1915 and 1917, the estate includes a 54,000-square-foot historic home, a 16-acre garden, a heritage orchard, and miles of trails that wind through five distinct ecosystems. Since opening to the public in 1976, Filoli has evolved into a place where history and nature come alive through seasonal experiences, educational programs, community events, and opportunities for discovery. Whether visiting for a peaceful walk, a family adventure, or a special celebration, guests are invited to create meaningful connections with the natural world and each other.
