FilmAid Kenya harnesses the power of film and other media to bring life-saving information, psychological relief, and much-needed hope to refugees and vulnerable communities in need. With over 120 staff operating across Dadaab and Kakuma Refugee Camps and Kalobeyei settlement, FilmAid Kenya has been a part of Kenya's Refugee Operation since 2001, working in partnership with UNHCR, the Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (PRM), UNICEF, WFP, and other agencies to deliver life-saving information in 13 languages to over 400,000 refugees, asylum seekers, and host communities. Through a community-based and multi-channel approach, FilmAid Kenya provides displaced people with actionable information about their rights, safety, and health, enabling them to make informed decisions and choices about their future and during emergency situations.
