Topics microbiology, environment, sustainability, climate change, microbial research

Set up in 1974, today we are a growing coalition of 55 Member Societies from 40 countries. As a not-for-profit organization, our mission is to support microbiologists with opportunities for professional growth, networking, and societal impact throughout their career. We build communities that peer review, publish, and promote high-quality scientific research through the FEMS journals. FEMS also creates top-in-class events, like the FEMS MICRO: Congress & Exhibition, that are magnifying microbial impact to develop powerful microbial solutions to humanity's greatest challenges.
