What Delv!s makes

Topics music, soul, funk, electronic, disco, pop, gospel, jazz, live

Delv!s was born Niels Delvaux and got his nickname at school because of his floppy dark quiff. From a young age, Delv!s was drawn to old gospel and soul records, finding his voice reflected in the cracked, mournful beauty of Billie Holiday and Nina Simone. While he fronted a rock band at school, his incredible range quickly outgrew their Nirvana and AC/DC covers and he studied jazz vocals in Antwerp for a year before gravitating towards Brussels’ exciting electronic scene. Effortlessly mixing funk, disco, pop and old-school soul, Delv!s stays true to a classic, laid-back jazz attitude while getting you on your feet with his irresistible grooves.
