Topics travel, painting, art, museums, local-art-supplies

When I travel, it's an amazing combination of painting on site, visiting museums and hunting for local art supplies, all of which interweave with each other! I draw and paint on site to capture the essence of a place through it's colors, textures, smells, and atmosphere. The artwork I create while I travel can anything from immense landscapes make you feel like an insignificant speck of dust, to an intimate moment I have with a tiny thistle growing in my driveway. Museums provide insight on a country's history and culture seen through artworks and objects while local art supplies connect me with the old and the new through tactile materials I can use myself.
