What BionicandtheWires makes

Topics bio-art, bionic, plants, fungi, experimental-music

We connect bionic arms to fungi and plants so they can play music and be creative. Our art explores new ways of thinking about the natural world. All life creates bio-electrical signals. Our equipment converts them into signals that control the bionic arms. Recent research suggests that fungi and plants exhibit surprising levels of intelligence, including decision-making, learning, memory and the ability to respond to sounds waves. Bionic and the Wires and our plants/fungi are available for performances, installations, and creative workshops. Get in touch if you would like to collaborate with us. Become a channel member to unlock exclusive shorts, early video releases, and behind-the-scenes content. Every membership helps us build new instruments, explore new techniques, and work with new species of fungi and plants.
