Topics art, cultural-heritage, modern-art, exhibitions, history

The minute you step into our galleries, you know you’re in for an experience like no other. Van Gogh, Matisse, Renoir, and Picasso hang next to ordinary household objects. A French medieval sculpture is displayed with a Navajo textile - there seems to be a connection between African masks and the elongated faces of Modigliani’s works nearby. Your perspective shifts about art and the world. The effect is so inspiring, it stays with you—long after you’ve left our building. Explore the largest collection of Renoir paintings in the world, plus impressionist, post-impressionist, and early modernist masterpieces alongside ironwork, African sculpture, Native American ceramics and jewelry, and Pennsylvania German furniture. Discover why after a visit, you’ll never stop seeing the Barnes. Visit barnesfoundation.org to learn more.
